My Story

I’m running the Cardiff Half Marathon in support of Velindre Cancer Centre, an organization that played a vital role during my battle with HER2+ breast cancer over the last year. Diagnosed with grade 3 invasive ductal carcenoma in my left breast and  lymph node involvement, I underwent chemotherapy, a lumpectomy, and radiotherapy. Throughout my treatment, Velindre provided exceptional care, support, and guidance, and I want to give back to them for everything they did to save my life.

I’m currently undergoing immunotherapy and on anti oestrogen medication which is likely to put me into an early menopause, so our lives have been completely ripped apart.

However, Thanks to the incredible care I received In saving my life, I’m now able to take on this challenge. Running for Velindre is my way of saying thank you and helping them continue their life-saving work for others in need. I have met some people on my journey and also have close friends around who are also going through this, so this is for them and everyone who is affected by cancer.

Please help me in my challenge in raising vital funds for such an amazing cause!!

Thank you so much!!
