My Story

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ Running the OYSHO Cardiff Half Marathon for Breast Cancer Now ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

This October, Iโ€™ll be taking on the OYSHO Cardiff Half Marathon to raise funds for Breast Cancer Now, a charity that was close to my friend Megan Adali's heart, who lost her life far too soon to breast cancer.

I have known Meg for roughly 12 years through teaching her children Irish dancing - they are a joy to teach and I know Meg was their number 1 supporter in everything that they did. She, along with the whole family have been such a great support to me and our little dance school throughout the years (and continue to do so). Even when Meg was ill, she continued to support in anyway she could.  She was one of the most selfless people I've ever had the good fortune to meet.  And so with all the places for Cardiff being full, it was fitting that Breast Cancer Now had a charity spot left for me to take on the challenge and do it in memory of Meg.

Iโ€™ll also be thinking of the women from my school and dancing days who have been affected by breast cancer or sadly lost their lives to it. So many memories are sure to come flooding back during training and throughout the 13.1 miles on race day.

Breast Cancer Now is working tirelessly to support those affected today and to fund life-saving research for tomorrow. With your help, we can make a difference โ€“ so that in future, fewer lives are lost and more families stay whole.

If youโ€™re able to donate, no matter the amount, it would mean the world. If you canโ€™t donate, simply sharing this page or sending a message of support will help me get through the miles.

Thank you ๐Ÿ’•
