Nada's Half Marathon For Parkinson's UK
Nada Dahan
My Story
As a medical student I've spent a lot of time learning about Parkinson’s in lectures but meeting patients living with it during my GP placement gave me a completely different perspective
I saw firsthand how this condition affects people in ways that aren't always obvious in textbooks From unsteady walking to difficulty with basic movements to the emotional impact of losing independence it stuck with me more than I expected
Some patients hadn't left their homes in years and that really stayed with me It made me reflect on how much I take movement for granted and how lucky I am to be able to run
So this year I'm running the Cardiff Half Marathon for Parkinson’s UK
I'm running for the patients who can't For those who inspire me to keep learning and doing better For those living with a condition that changes every part of daily life
This run isn't about the time I finish or any medal it's about using the ability I have to make a small difference
If you’re able to support even a little it would mean a lot Every donation goes toward research support and better care for people living with Parkinson’s
Thank you so much for reading and supporting :)
