My Story
This October, I’ll be running the Cardiff Half Marathon in aid of Sands, the UK’s leading pregnancy and baby loss charity. Sands provides support to everyone touched by pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.
While donations are welcome, my main aim is to raise awareness around Sands and similar charities. People my age are now getting married and beginning to think about starting families, and it’s important to me that charities and support like this are known about in the worst of times.
In the UK, 13 families a day suffer the heartbreak of losing their baby before, during, or shortly after birth. This must change.
The money raised from this fundraiser will not only support those affected by pregnancy loss or the death of a baby but also fund research into why these babies don’t make it.
